Two elements for this modification:

        i. ECU Fan Control (relay gnd wire modification): I modified the GD fan relay wiring (relay nr. 4) by replacing the black/green (85) with the MSD ECU fan control gnd wire (the pink wire.) The ECU takes care of the fan operation and it requires the feed from the water temperature sender.

There is also a facility [on the ECU] to control a second. (See Auxilliary Cooling Fans article for details...)

ii. Fan Relay 12v Input Feed Reroute: I routed the fan's 12v live (fuse #1.1) through its own fuse (#2.1). I.e. took the fan relay power feed off fuse #1.1 (Purple) and put it on its own fuse (#2.1)... I wasn't comfortable with the fan, horn and the hazards warning live feeds going through the same fuse.

Note: Some additional detail on my fan fuse move… I noticed the fan fuse was getting quite warm when the fan kicked in (i.e. the initial power surge); so after doing some 5 Amp [within spec] incremental experiments to determine when the fuse remained cool, it appeared I needed to upgrade to a 30 Amp fuse.
