Air Vent Butterfly Valve: To complement the heater motor speed modification, I designed and built a manually operated butterfly vent valve to cut off airflow to the windscreen outlets. No point in wasting 50% of the warm air. A bit of plastic pipe, a couple of sacrificial bolts, lots of filing and fettling, and a control cable from CBS.
I am very pleased with the outcome. Since I didn't want to clutter the dashboard configuration, I mounted the control knob on the undertray, just to the right of the driver's knee.
